Coaching philosophy

I finished my coaching coursework, and in so doing, I had to create a coaching philosophy statement. It is only a draft and will probably evolve as the years pass, but I thought I’d share what I came up with in my initial attempt:

I believe that everyone wants to live a good life, and everyone’s version of a good life is different. I believe people want to be passionate and thrive and grow, but they experience heartbreak and get scared and decide to stay small and safe, disengaging to hide and survive. My role as a coach is to help people remember that they have a vision of a good life and they have everything they need to create it. I help people clear away the thoughts and beliefs that made them small, safe, disengaged, and fearful, and create new thoughts and beliefs that access their inner wisdom, their power, their passion, and their creativity so they can live the life they always imagined for themselves.
